Ukrainian Armed Forces' military chaplains have completed their training at a U.S. base in Germany. During their time there, they received instruction on the role of a chaplain, military ethics, counseling techniques, trauma response, and their duties within NATO countries.
This was reported by UNN.
This update comes from the Press and Information Department of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, cited by UNN. The training included both theoretical and hands-on exercises, alongside discussions involving chaplains from allied nations.
The significance lies in Ukrainian priests sharing their experiences from combat zones with international partners, collaborating closely with Ukrainian soldiers undergoing training.
Back in December 2021, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed the legislation titled 'On the Service of Military Chaplaincy.'
Additionally, in April 2023, the inaugural graduation ceremony for military chaplains was held at the Church of Saint Sophia, the Wisdom of God.
