Ukrainian Orthodox Church-MP Against Anti-Christian Posters

With the blessing of the head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-MP, Metropolitan Volodymyr, a letter was sent to the head of the National Expert Committee of Ukraine on the Protection of Public Morality, V. V. Kostytskyi.

With the blessing of the head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-MP, Metropolitan Volodymyr, a letter was sent to the head of the National Expert Committee of Ukraine on the Protection of Public Morality, V. V. Kostytskyi with the request to take all legal steps envisaged by Ukrainian legislation regarding a blasphemy committed by the organizers of the “Beginning of the World” Seminar.

According to the website of the UOC-MP,  the seminar is to be held on December 21, in I. Honchar Museum near the Kyiv Cave Monastery. The representatives of the church state that “judging from the image on the poster (a nude lady imitating the crucifix) and mentions of the pre-Christian beliefs and rites and ancient views on the world’s origin, the seminar is aimed to ruin the traditional morality and provoke a conflict on a religious basis.”
