Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA: Warm the Lives of the People of Ukraine by Supporting “Generations of Hope”
With the freezing temperatures of the cold winter months, the devastated villages, towns, cities and most importantly the people of Ukraine are left without the heat and electricity due to the ongoing war.
In November of 2022, the ‘Generators of Hope’ campaign was launched in Europe and many cities across the US in order to provide Ukraine with energy equipment for the winter. According to the United Nations, Russian attacks on civilian infrastructure temporarily left around 10 million Ukrainians without electricity, water or heating in at least 16 of the country’s 24 regions, and in the capital Kyiv, while temperatures have already dropped below zero.
Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA is reaching to all with a simple request - share the warmth of your heart and life with the people of Ukraine by becoming a sponsor of so needed generators, portable stoves, power banks, etc.
Remember, the Lord taught us “…I was thirsty, you gave me drink. I was hungry, you gave me food. I needed clothing, you clothed me…” This is exactly the core of our ministry and spiritual life!, Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA said.
