The leadership of the Kyivan Spiritual Academy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate reached an agreement on cooperation with the Theological Department of the Bucharest University. Within the framework of the academic process, the Ukrainian educational institutions of the two countries will now be able to freely exchange students, teachers and experience. The agreement on cooperation was signed by the Rector of the Kyivan Spiritual Academy, Archbishop Antonii (Pakanych) of Boryspil during his visit to Romania.

“The fact of the conclusion of an agreement between the educational institutions of various countries is an indication of the compliance of our schools with the educational standards. It is in the cooperation between the higher education institutions that the recognition of our education begins,” said Bishop Antonii.

The rector also gave a positive assessment of the level of Romanian education, where Theology is recognized by the state as a scholarly discipline and the Orthodox tradition takes a respected place in the European community.

During his visit, Bishop Antonii met with the leading  figures of the Romanian education and Blessed Patriarch Daniel, who expressed his satisfaction with the fact that the spiritual schools of the two Churches have established cooperation.
