Within the framework of the celebration of the 120th anniversary of birth of Patriarch Josef Slipyj, the Day of the Patriarch was marked in Philadelphia, USA. The celebration events of 25-26 February included a scholarly conference consisting of the English-language and Ukrainian-language parts. So reported the Press Secretary of the Holy Sophia Society of USA, Iryna Ivankovych to the Information Department of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC).
The Day of the Patriarch was held with the support of the Holy Sophia Society of USA, Taras Shevchenko Scholarly Society in USA, Ukrainian Catholic Education Foundation in Chicago, Ukrainian Federal Credit Cooperative “Samopomich” in Philadelphia and Volodymyr Rak Foundation in USA.
