UOC-MP continues to appeal to Constantinople to revokeTomos
According to the statement, adopted on April 3 by the Holy Synod of the UOC-Moscow Patriarchate, the actions of the Ecumenical Patriarchate have damaged Ukrainian Orthodoxy and Constantinople should revoke the Tomos.
It should be noted that the actions of the Patriarchate of Constantinople in Ukraine caused great harm to Ukrainian Orthodoxy and became a threat to Pan-Orthodox unity,” the participants of the Synod allege.
“We believe that the Patriarchate of Constantinople and personally Patriarch Bartholomew must acknowledge this mistake and work on its correction. A way of correcting this mistake could be to withdraw the Tomos, to call on the schismatics for repentance in the sin of split and to convene the Pan-Orthodox assembly to adopt a conciliar decision of the Ukrainian church issue,” the UOC-MP hierarchs argue.
