On December 23, in the Church of St. Antonii and Feodosii in the Kyiv Cave Monastery, the head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP), Metropolitan Volodymyr, consecrated Archimandrite Bogoliep (Goncharenko) of the Kirovohrad Eparchy bishop.
On December 23, in the Church of St. Antonii and Feodosii in the Kyiv Cave Monastery, the head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP), Metropolitan Volodymyr, consecrated Archimandrite Bogoliep (Goncharenko) of the Kirovohrad Eparchy bishop.
According to the website of UOC-MP, before the beginning of the service, the archimandrite repeated in church the three Orthodox creeds as part of the rite of confession of the faith.
Then, Metropolitan Volodymyr addressed the newly ordained bishop with the word of exhortation and handed him a crozier. The bishop then gave his first bishop’s blessing to the believers.
