UOC-MP in Crimea prays for border guards defending Russia and Crimea

On July 29, in one of the units of the Border Service of the FSB of Russia in the Republic of Crimea Archpriest Dmytro Krotkov, chairman of the military department of Simferopol and Crimea Diocese of the UOC (MP) celebrated a prayer and sprinkled holy water on soldiers and their future shoulder straps with their subsequent ranks.

On July 29, in one of the units of the Border Service of the FSB of Russia in the Republic of Crimea Archpriest Dmytro Krotkov, chairman of the military department of Simferopol and Crimea Diocese of the UOC (MP) celebrated a prayer and sprinkled holy water on soldiers and their future shoulder straps with their subsequent ranks.


“At the end of the prayer Fr Dmitry said a word of instruction to the young officers, wishing them God's help in serving the good of our homeland and the Crimea to protect the state border of the Russian Federation. After the service, the insignia of military rank were handed over to the border guards by Colonel Znamenskiy at the official part according to the press service of Simferoprol and Crimean Diocese of the UOC (MP).
