UOC-MP opposes the bill envisaging responsibility for denying Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine

According to representatives of the Moscow Patriarchate, "despite the fact that the bill authors were guided by their hatred of the UOC, their proposed grounds for terminating the activities of a religious organization in court can be applied to a significant number of religious organizations of other faiths."
Draft law No. 5101 proposes to add the following actions among the grounds for stopping the activities of a religious organization in court: propaganda of the elimination of the independence of Ukraine, changing the constitutional order by force, violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state, undermining its security, illegal seizure of state power, the propaganda of war, violence, incitement to inter-ethnic, racial, religious hatred, encroachment on human rights and freedoms, public health, dissemination of information containing excuses, recognition of legitimate, denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, initiated in 2014.
