US Ambassador Greets Head of UOC-MP

On 23 May, Metropolitan Volodymyr of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP) received in his residence in St. Panteleimon’s Monastery Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USA in Ukraine, John Tefft.

On May 23, Metropolitan Volodymyr of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP) received in his residence in St. Panteleimon’s Monastery Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USA in Ukraine, John Tefft. The meeting was also attended the Administrator of UOC-MP, Archbishop Antonii (Pakanych) of Boryspil, Archbishop Oleksandr (Drabynko) of Pereiaslav-Khmelnytskyi and Vyshneve and the Embassy employees.

The ambassador greeted Metropolitan Volodymyr on his recovery, return to the service and the 20th anniversary of his metropolitan ministry and wished him many years of service.

In his turn, the head of the UOC-MP said he was pleased with the good relations with the Embassy.

The parties also discussed such certain church issues in the world as youth work, educational activities, and so on.

The metropolitan presented a souvenir to the visitor, reported the website of the UOC-MP.
