US ambassador to Ukraine honored heroes in a garrison church of UOC-KP

On February 11, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey R. Pyatt and the delegation of the United States visited the Garrison church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul of the UGCC in Lviv. Its rector Fr Stephen Sus wrote it on Facebook page.

Guests from the United States commemorated the Heroes of Heaven’s Hundred and Heroes of Ukraine - servicemen who gave their lives for Ukraine during the ATO. In addition, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Ukraine learned about the history of the Garrison church and its mission and value for military servicemen that are staying in the ATO zone.

In the church, Geoffrey R. Pyatt met with Oleksiy Kondratenko, a military serviceman of the 30 Brigade, which, with the assistance of the US Embassy in Ukraine received a visa for prosthetic replacement in Chicago, USA, and  after having received the prosthetic replacement and rehabilitation with the support of the Ukrainian community in Chicago, USA, returned to Ukraine
