The USA supports the Tomos of the One Local Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Valeriy Chalyy, Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States,  said this in an interview with Ukrinform, reports RBC-Ukraine.

He said that Ukraine has a consolidated support of the Orthodox Churches, in fact, of the entire Western Hemisphere.

“The issues of religion and of the Church are not the sector where government entities directly influence decision-making, it is the religious organizations that are engaged in it. Aand we have a consolidated support of the Orthodox Churches, in fact, the entire Western Hemisphere, and I am very grateful for the position of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA, for the leadership of Metropolitan Anthony and Archbishop Daniel, for the unity that was demonstrated literally during the celebration of the 100th anniversary of founding of the UOC-USA, attended by members of the Synod of Constantinople, representatives of the autocephalous churches of different countries. And I have a very positive impression after communicating with them,” said Chalyy.

“Obviously, the UOC-USA supports this issue. Although there have been discussions, but now they are over, and we have received full and powerful support,” the ambassador said.
