The clergymen expresstheir pain and bewilderment caused by the act of vandalism, it is noted that these events are difficult to comment on,they called the destruction of the crosses a challenge for civil society in the region.
“In recent years a good and favorable inter-religious atmosphere has developed in our diocese. In this respect people live in harmony with each other. And no doubt that these outrageous adventures are a serious attempt to disrupt the existing balance of social cohesion in our region to destabilize the situation. And the duty of the state law enforcement agencies is to thoroughly investigate such incidents and to prevent this in the future,” said Mykola Lischenyuk.
He said that the police should find criminals, because “only a thoughtless and stupid personmight cause even greater hostility the country in which the soldiers die and civilians get killed.”
