On 19 September, the Burial Shroud of the Mother of God from Gethsemane arrived in Ukraine.
With the blessing of Metropolitan Volodymyr of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate, it was brought by the official Church delegation led by Archbishop Oleksandr (Drabynko) of Pereisalav-Khmelnytskyi and Vyshneve.
In Kyiv, the shrine was met by Metropolitan Volodymyr, Metropolitan Antony of the Central America (Antioch Patriarchate) and the bishops of UOC-MP, monks and laymen.
The Primate of UOC-MP led a prayer service in front of the shrine at Soborna Square a nd addressed the audience.
