On May 28, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with Franklin Graham, President of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritan's Purse.

The Head of State thanked Franklin Graham for the humanitarian aid provided to Ukraine, including support for Ukrainian children, people forced to flee their homes, and assistance to medical institutions.
“We are very grateful for the strong support from the American people, the White House, and President Trump. We truly hope this support continues. It is very important to us. Thank you for your prayers and for helping people. The most important thing is to help and support people, to support children. And for the financial assistance you have provided to both churches and people. This means a lot. Thank you. We will not forget this,” the President stated.
Volodymyr Zelensky shared that during the prisoner exchange on May 23–25, Ukraine was able to bring home a thousand of its people. He also emphasized the importance of doing everything possible to free all the adults and children held by Russia.
During the meeting, the parties also covered opportunities to expand humanitarian initiatives, including establishing medical centers and rehabilitation programs for veterans, as well as supporting orphans and internally displaced people.
