Volunteers, church, and military are most trusted by Ukrainians

Thus, according to the results of the study, the head of the Ukrainian state is trusted by 24.8% of the polled and is not trusted by 68.2%, the government - 19.8% and 73.1% respectively, the National Bank - 15.3% and 75.2% accordingly, the Verkhovna Rada is trusted by 13.8% of respondents and is not trusted by 80.7%.

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko enjoys trust of 24.8% of the polled citizens of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers - 19.8%, the volunteer organizations (66.7%), the Church (64.4%) and the Armed Forces of Ukraine (57.3%) enjoy the greatest confidence of citizens, according to research data of the Razumkov Center’s sociological service, Interfax-Ukraine reports.



Thus, according to the results of the study, the head of the Ukrainian state is trusted by 24.8% of the polled and is not trusted by 68.2%, the government - 19.8% and 73.1% respectively, the National Bank - 15.3% and 75.2% accordingly, the Verkhovna Rada is trusted by 13.8% of respondents and is not trusted by 80.7%.


11.2% of the respondents expressed their trust in the state apparatus (officials), and 80.7% do not trust the officials.


At the same time, the actions of the President of Ukraine are fully supported by 6.7% of respondents, support individual actions - 35.2%, do not support - 50.4%.


The actions of the government are fully supported by 3.2%, partially supported by 33.8% and not supported by 54.0% of respondents. Actions of Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman - by 6.0%, 33.8% and 50.8% respectively.


The activities of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine are fully supported by 2.9%, individual actions are supported by 27.9% and not supported by 61.6%, the actions of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy - respectively by 3.8%, 25.5%, 59.1%.


The actions of the National Bank of Ukraine are fully supported by 3.2%, partially – by 17.1% and not supported by 63.5% of the respondents.


Among the government and public institutions, enjoying the highest trust are volunteer organizations (they are trusted by 66.7% of respondents), the church (64.4%), the Armed Forces of Ukraine (57.3%), volunteer battalions (53.9%), the National Guard (52.6%), State Service for Emergencies (50.5%), public organizations (48.0%), State Border Guard Service (46.4%), and Ukrainian media (48.3%). According to the Razumkov Center, the number of respondents who trust these institutions exceeds the number of those who do mistrusts them at a statistically significant level.


The research was conducted by the sociological service of the Razumkov Center from October 6 to 11, 2017. 2018 respondents aged 18 and over were interviewed in all regions of Ukraine, with the exception of the Crimea and the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The theoretical sampling error does not exceed 2.3%
