Zelensky: Vatican sends signal of support for Ukrainian "Peace Formula"
Zelensky made this statement during a conversation with Italian media in Rome, as reported by "European Pravda".
According to the Head of State, Pope Francis is aware of Ukraine's position regarding the "peace formula," and during their conversation, the pontiff sent a "signal of support" for this initiative, said Zelensky.
"The peace formula," which I proposed during the Indonesian meeting of the G20, is based on resolving 10 crises. It is very practical. It seems to me that I received a signal of support from the Vatican. This is important, and we also have the support of the Italian government and many different states," the President said.
"Today, the task is to involve as many countries as possible in our platform because there will be many proposals for peace from various countries. We need to build on something fundamental," added Zelensky.
As reported by RISU, Zelensky and Pope Francis spoke for 40 minutes and exchanged gifts during their meeting on May 13 in the Vatican.
