During a custom examination of a parcel sent by a resident of Kyiv to Poland, the workers of the Lviv Customs found a unique antique book.

LVIVDuring a custom examination of a parcel sent by a resident of Kyiv to Poland, the workers of the Lviv Customs found a unique antique book. According to art specialist expertise, it is a printed edition of Oktoihy published in 1765 by the Orthodox Lviv Stauropegion Brotherhood of the Holy Assumption.

According to ZIK, the edition is complete and in satisfactory condition with the preserved cover.

“The book is an antique print and cultural value and can be included in the State Register of the National Cultural Heritage. Therefore, it cannot be moved abroad,” explained the head of the Sector of Public Relations of the Customs, Roman Makar.
