Archbishop Oleksandr of UOC-MP Meets with Head of Cretan Orthodox Church

During a meeting with Archbishop Oleksandr (Drabynko), the head of the Cretan Orthodox Church Archbishop Eirineos inquired about the status of affairs in the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and state.

During a meeting with Archbishop Oleksandr (Drabynko) of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP) on May 19, on the island of Crete, thehHead of the Cretan Orthodox Church (autonomous Church within the Ecumenical Patriarchate) Archbishop Eirineos inquired about the status of affairs in the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and state.   

Archbishop Eirineos extended his greetings to the head of the UOC-MP, Metropolitan Volodymyr, and expressed hope that his condition will allow him to visit the Church of Crete at his convenience.

In his turn, Archbishop Oleksandr passed to Archbishop Eirineos an invitation of Metropolitan Volodymyr to visit Ukraine at his convenience, the website of the UOC-MP reported.
