Ukraine is represented by Nelia Kukovalska, the General Director of the National Reserve "Saint Sophia of Kyiv."

This was reported by the St. Sophia of Kyiv Reserve.

This year’s forum focuses on the important theme of “Connection and Communication: Participatory Approaches to Managing World Heritage.” Participants will explore modern models of heritage management that emphasize open dialogue and collaboration among local communities, the scientific community, government agencies, and international partners.

The forum’s program addresses a wide range of critical issues related to the preservation of World Heritage sites amid global challenges. Key topics include implementing inclusive, people-centered approaches to cultural heritage management, developing integrated heritage management models, using scientific research and digital data to inform management decisions, and raising public awareness of the importance of protecting cultural heritage.

During discussions, special attention will be given to comprehensive risk management for both heritage sites and human safety, as well as to the role of cultural heritage in the recovery and sustainable development of local communities. Participants will also share successful international practices that can serve as a foundation for enhancing the management system of World Heritage sites.
