“The UOC is in a very difficult position. The UOC has a problem of leaders who are either silent or say not what people expect from the Church. But I am convinced: the majority in the Church disagree with these statements and with this silence,” he said.
“There is a certain divergence, the gap between the faithful of the UOC, between the clergy of the UOC and the episcopate of the UOC, which is increasing. This distance is growing all the time,” added the clergyman.
Archimandrite Cyril (Hovorun) also noted that among the faithful and priests of the UOC (MP) there are many Ukrainian patriots who help people in the ATO zone, travel to the East.
