Azarov To Restore Original Appearance of Kyiv Cave Monastery

On 24 May, Ukraine’s Premier, Mykola Azarov visited the Kyiv Cave Monastery on occasion of the completion of the restoration of the façade of the Great Laura belfry.

On 24 May, Ukraine’s Premier, Mykola Azarov visited the Kyiv Cave Monastery on occasion of the completion of the restoration of the façade of the Great Laura belfry.  

“I would like to greet you on occasion of such great holidays as the annunciation day and the Slavic Script Day. We are opening the façade part of the Laura belfry on this occasion,” the Premier’s web site quoted him as saying. 

Azarov stated that the government will continue to support the restoration of historic monuments of Kyiv: “We will continue to carry our the restoration works in the Laura to restore its original appearance.”

The Premier visited the Museum of Books and Printing and met with the children of the “Ladushki” Theatre.
