Christmas Event With Participation of Patriarch Sviatioslav and Politicians Held

On 19 January, in Kyiv, the annual “Christmas Prosphora” event with the Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC) Patriarch Sviatoslav was held.

On 19 January, in Kyiv, the annual “Christmas Prosphora” event with the Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC) Patriarch Sviatoslav was held. It was attended by diplomats, cultural figures, politicians, faithful, clergymen, including Apostolic Nuncio in Ukraine, Archbishop Thomas Edward Gullickson, bishops Bohdan (Dziurakh) and Josef (Milian).

According to the web site of UGCC, the “Christmas Prosphora” has been held for several years in a row and now has its permanent guests.

Several choirs from different regions of Ukraine and a youth theatre from Lviv Region and a folk group “Bozhychi” sang carols and performed nativity plays for the guests.
