The joint prayer was held July 12 in the church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the center and gathered many believers.

"Today, we held a prayer for peace, because it is for the Community of Sant'Egidio a very important and urgent matter, says an Italian historian, a representative of the "Community of Sant'Egidio" Alessandro Salakone. - For many years the community prays for peace in the world. We have learned that you should always pray for peace, because violence, says one of the priests or war is as devil that penetrates the heart of people. And when people do not notice the violence, unexpected comes, like the war in Ukraine.

"Our community empathizes Ukrainians and prays for peace in the country every day around the world - in small villages and large cities of Africa and Latin America. We must remember that in more than 30 countries there are the horror of war, there are open conflicts, civil clashes. In many countries there are suffering Christians", he stressed.
