On October 17-19, 2013, London will host an unprecedented event – The Days of Ukraine in the United Kingdom.

On October 17-19, 2013, London will host an unprecedented event – The Days of Ukraine in the United Kingdom.

The packed three day programme will showcase the best cultural talent that Ukraine has to offer: top composers, writers, artists, fashion designers, musicians and rock stars will all convene to London for the three day event. It will include an opening at the Houses of Parliament, gala dinner and concert at the Natural History Museum, fashion show at the Royal Courts of Justice, art exhibition at the Saatchi gallery, literature readings and an open air music festival next to the London Eye in Jubilee Gardens.

The line up, which includes the genius composer Myroslav Skoryk, charming musician Oleh Skrypka and inspirational writer Oksana Zabuzhko, consists of the contemporary elite of Ukrainian culture and music. 

“This is a wonderful initiative, with thousands of Londoners being given a unique opportunity to find out more about the magnificent culture and music that Ukraine has to offer. Never before has a Ukrainian cultural project of this magnitude taken place in London,” commented Andy Hunder, Director of the Ukrainian Institute in London. 

Days of Ukraine has the support of the Mayor of London and other political and business luminaries in the UK.
