The rabbi of Dnipropetrovsk and the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Shmuel Kaminetsky believes that the Ukrainian army should borrow the experience of Israel and take on rabbis who will provide soldiers with spiritual support and assistance, Jewish News report.

“In our army, among Ukrainian volunteers there are very many Jews. I would never have thought before that so many Ukrainians would give so much support to Ukraine – by their deeds, money and prayer!” he said.

Shmuel Kaminetsky noted that Ukrainian society is becoming even healthier and more patriotic, which helps to improve the situation in the country.

“When society is united, when there is the support of the people, victory is inevitable,” he stressed.

The Dnepropetrovsk rabbi also expressed the opinion that both Ukraine and Russia were tired of the war, and called on spiritual leaders of all confessions to pray for politicians to have the wisdom and the strength for a swift regulation of the conflict.
