The head of the Presidium of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milorad Dodik, said that he would give the scandalous icon to Ukraine if Kyiv could prove that it was looking for it earlier.

This is reported by "Europeyska Pravda" citing Radio Slobodna Evropa.

Dodik said he had not received a response from Ukraine as to whether they were looking for the icon, and no data related to it was provided.

"If Ukraine proves that it asked for the icon before the day when I met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, I will accept it, and we will hand it over to them," Dodik said.

Dodik mentioned the icon when referring to the situation in the Bosnian judicial system, which he called "catastrophic".

"An example of this is the icon, in connection with which there are constant conversations, although Ukraine is not looking for it. There is a statement from the agency for coordination of police activities of BiH, which is responsible for cooperation with Interpol, that Interpol has no information about the search for the icon," he said.

We will remind, Dodik previously stated that he would return the Ukrainian icon stolen in Luhansk to those from whom he received it – but not to Ukraine.

Dodik said that the story about the icon was fabricated in Bosnia and that Ukraine never raised the issue of its disappearance.

Earlier, the head of the Association of Veterans of the Republika Srpska Army said that the icon was taken out of the occupied Donbas in 2018 through Russia and Serbia.
