The Orthodox Church of Ukraine is ready for common use of churches with representatives of other Churches. The head of the OCU Epifaniy said it in an interview with the BBC.

He pointed out that in the history of Ukraine there has already been such a case. In the 1990s, when there were conflicts between the Orthodox and Greek Catholics in western Ukraine, it was suggested that majority of the community helped the minority build a new church, and by that time, the service would be held in turns.

“If the community is split 50/50, then we are not opposed to alternate worship,” said Epifaniy, adding that “the Moscow Patriarchate is outright against this.”

The Primate also pointed out that the OCU will not "seize the Lavras. In his opinion, it is not necessary to adopt radical decisions regarding the Lavras, as it can cause confrontation and struggle. This was reported by Hromadske.
