Ethics and Morality highlighted at Davos
Religious leaders and the founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum Klaus Schwab today discussed the possibility of establishing a Global Forum on Ethics. The issue of ethics has been high on the agenda at the Davos summit with Mr Schwab saying he wants this year's forum to place particular emphasis on it, Vatican Radio informs.
He also stressed the importance of resetting the moral compass of the world's business and political community.
The President of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, Cardinal Peter Turkson is participating at Davos.
He spoke to Lydia O’Kane about this morning’s meeting saying there was “the basic idea to set up all of this and he (Mr Schwab) has seen how we can get morality and ethics into public arena, into a public space.
Cardinal Turkson is also in Davos to present a recent note published by his council on the “reform of the international financial and monetary systems in the context of global public authority”.
The World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, continues through to January 29th.
