Fifth national prayer breakfast held in Kyiv

“In such difficult times, a lot of people pray to God for the end of war,”said President during the event.

Glergy, government officials and businessmen took part in the National Prayer Breakfast that was held today in Kyiv.

The President noted that the prayer breakfast was a great opportunity for dialogue and mutual understanding. He stressed the importance of participation of national and foreign politicians, government officials, representatives of the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and religious organizations in the event.

The President also appealed to the heads of the parliamentary factions and MPs noting that the truth and justice were impossible without judicial reform and urged them to endorse amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine in the course of today's parliamentary session.

“In such difficult times, a lot of people pray to God for the end of war,”said President during the event.

“We are doing everything for the establishment of peace on the Ukrainian land,” he added.

Unity will enable us to respond to the challenges facing Ukraine and Ukrainians, said the Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman in his speech.

"I firmly believe that each of us starting from today after this common prayer will be committed in order to change the world for the better, to do his or her work faithfully and honestly so that every citizen would feel care and love and warmth, and we'll continue to demonstrate unity, sovereignty for the sake of our country, for Europe and the whole world and for the sake of us all," he noted.
