Head of the OCU blesses 5 thousand Easter cakes for military servicemen and border guards

Today, Metropolitan Epiphanius consecrated 5,000 freshly baked Easter cakes in the open air near St. Michael's Golden-Domed Cathedral in the capital.

Festive pastries will be sent to the front line, as well as to the southern and northern borders of the country - so that the military servicemen and border guards who spend Easter away from their families can at least enjoy it, TSN reports.

Military chaplains and the armed forces are responsible for the delivery of Easter cakes.
