Bishop Vitaliy Skomarovsky, head of the Ukrainian Bishops' Conference, encourages intense prayer for the pontiff and the hospital staff who provide medical care to the Holy Father.

This is reported by the RCC website.

On Wednesday, March 29, the Vatican press center reported on the hospitalization of the Holy Father Francis and the deterioration of his health.

"Let us enfold St. Peter's successor in prayer so that the Lord may grant him the necessary graces for the health of body and soul. May the Holy Spirit inspire the medical staff and doctors who take care of the pontiff to make the right decisions," Bishop Vitaly asks.
