Set up by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, a group of Ministers led by Zeev Elkin presented a plan for a limited pilgrimage of Bretslov Hasidim from Israel to Uman.
The plan was presented on Saturday, September 5, in the evening, 'Procherk' media outlet reports citing JewishNews and the Jerusalem Post.
It is reported that the plan was developed, considering the discussions held with the government of Ukraine. According to the plan, the Israelis should go to Uman in small groups of several dozen people. However, the exact number is not specified.
A short period will be allocated for the visit to Rabbi Nachman's grave to avoid large crowds of people in one place for a long time. On the way back, the pilgrims will also be divided into groups and quarantined in Israel.
One of the goals of the plan is to ensure the safe return of pilgrims who are already in Ukraine.
It is worth noting that no such plan was found on the website of the government of Israel, in particular the Office of the Prime Minister.
