“The question of the protection of children from family violence in Ukraine is extremely actual. It is one of the factors of homelessness and orphanhood,” said the President of the Ukraine Without Orphans Alliance.
“The problem of the protection of children from family violence in Ukraine is extremely urgent. It is one of the factors of homelessness and orphanhood,” said the President of the Ukraine Without Orphans Alliance, initiator of the national Day of Prayer for Orphans, Ruslan Maliuta at a RISU web conference.
“I would like to say openly that I am surprised at a kind of 'demonization' of juvenal justice in some Christian circles. One can conclude from some materials that the only purpose of the introduction thereof is to take them away by force from believers in order to let them be adopted by homosexuals. It is, to put it mildly, an exaggeration,” noted the expert in answer to the questions of RISU readers regarding the threat of juvenile justice, which is discussed in the Ukrainian society.
“And the fact that some parents call themselves believers gives them no license to do anything they want to their children,” stressed Ruslan Maliuta.
According to Mr. Maliuta, the essence of juvenile justice is to separate the matters regarding children, particularly, violence against them, deprivation of parental rights, and so on to be handled by people with appropriate experience and training.
“One should understand that all these things are being done in our country already, but it is all conducted by judges who handle any other matters,” stressed Ruslan Maliuta.
