Liturgy Celebrated for Ukrainian Army in Cave Monastery

On 6 December, in the Kyiv Cave Monastery, a liturgy was celebrated on occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On 6 December, in the Kyiv Cave Monastery, a liturgy was celebrated on occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The service was attended by the top officials of the Ministry of Defense, including its head, Mykhailo Yezhel, General Headquarters of the Armed Forces, believing military men of the Kyiv Garrison and their family members. So reported the web site of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate.

After the liturgy and prayer service, Archbishop Avhustyn (Markevych) greeted the military men and presented the Order of Prince Volodymyr of the 1st Degree to M. Yezhel on behalf of Metropolitan Volodymyr.
