Lviv to connect Ukraine with the Camino de Santiago

On 25 July Brotherhood of St. James in Ukraine will hold a one-day pilgrimage from the city of Lviv to nearby town Horodok. This will be the first step to pave "Lviv Camino de Santiago – Via Regia», which will lead to the border with Poland to connect with European route.

On 25 July Brotherhood of St. James in Ukraine will hold a one-day pilgrimage from the city of Lviv to nearby town Horodok. This will be the first step to pave "Lviv Camino de Santiago – Via Regia», which will lead to the border with Poland to connect with European route.

The pilgrimage will begin at 8 a.m. at the Garrison church of Sts. Peter and Paul (st. Teatralnaya, 11) and will end at the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Horodok around 4 p.m.

Camino de Santiago is the name of the pilgrimage routes  to the shrine of the apostle St. James the Great in the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia in northwestern Spain, where according to tradition the remains of the saint are buried. The Way of St. James was one of the most important Christian pilgrimages during the Middle Ages, together with Rome and Jerusalem
