Metropolitan of the UGCC joins the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue

On July 8, Pope Francis appointed six cardinals and sixteen hierarchs from all continents to this agency. The Metropolitan of the UGCC in Canada was included among them.

This was reported by Vatican Radio.

They are, in particular, Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle, recently appointed prefect of the Congregation for Evangelization of Peoples, Cardinal Jean-Claude Hollerich, Archbishop of Luxembourg, cardinal Michael Cerny, Deputy Secretary for the Department of Migrants and Refugees of the Dicastery for the service of integral human development, and Archbishop Laurentiy Hutsulyak, Metropolitan of Winnipeg UGCC in Canada.
