Metropolitan Volodymyr Confers Order on Ukraine's Ambassador to Greece

The Head of the Department of External Church Relations of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP), Archbishop Oleksandr (Drabynko) of Pereiaslav-Khmelnytskyi and Vyshneve met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Greece.

The Head of the Department of External Church Relations of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP), Archbishop Oleksandr (Drabynko) of Pereiaslav-Khmelnytskyi and Vyshneve met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Greece, Volodymyr Shkurov on 16 January, at the residence of the Head of UOC-MP.

With the blessing of Metropolitan Volodymyr, the archbishop presented to the ambassador the Order of the Holy Great Prince Yaroslav the Wise of Kyiv of UOC-MP “for his numerous merits with respect to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and on occasion of the 20th anniversary of Independence of Ukraine.”  

According to the web site of  UOC-MP, the parties discussed the status of the Church-state relations and the issue of the pilgrimages of Ukrainian citizens to Greece.
