Metropolitan Volodymyr Makes P​ilgrimage to Italian City of Bari

On September 20-21 Metropolitan Volodymyr of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate make a long pilgrimage to the Italian city of Bari, where the relics of Saint Nicholas, the wonderworker and Bishop of Myra in Lycia, are kept.

On September 20-21 Metropolitan Volodymyr of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate make a long pilgrimage to the Italian city of Bari, where the relics of Saint Nicholas, the wonderworker and Bishop of Myra in Lycia, are kept.

In the evening of September 20, Metropolitan Volodymyr celebrated the Akathist service before the relics of St. Nicholas.

On September 21, on the day of the Nativity of the Mother of God, the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church led the liturgy in the crypt of the Basilica of Saint Nicholas in Bari.

The Primate said a prayer for the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, peace, and the well-being of the Ukrainian state and its people, the official website of the UOC-MP reported.
