Metropolitan Volodymyr Met with Newly-appointed Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine

On March 23, 2010, the primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate met with the administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine led by the newly appointed Anatolii Mohyliov.

KYIV On March 23, 2010, the primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate met at his residence at the Kyiv Cave Monastery with the administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine led by the newly appointed minister Major General of Police Anatolii Mohyliov.  

In the course of conversation the sides also discussed issues of the further cooperation of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and the ministry. Also the archpastor wished the head of the institution God's help and fruitful work in his important and difficult assignment for the benefit of the Ukrainian state. 

Thereafter Anatolii Mohyliov and the accompanying persons visited the St. Nicholas Church of the metropolitan's chambers, where the primate conducted a prayer service of thanksgiving and blessed the officials for the further work. 

At the end the metropolitan offered the guests small icons of the Mother of God and keepsake gifts.
