Metropolitan Volodymyr Visited School Where Children of Chornobyl Disaster Liquidators Study

KYIV – On Saturday, April 24, 2010, the primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP) visited secondary school No. 4 of Vyshneve town (Kyiv region), where the children of liquidators of Chornobyl disaster study, reports the website of UOC-MP.

The organizers were the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and charitable foundation Children of Chernobyl. 

This action has taken place for many years on the eve of the Chornobyl tragedy anniversary. As has become tradition, the schoolchildren prepared a concert for the guests.  
Thereafter the archpastor addressed the children and their parents and wished strength, health, and success in their studies. At the end the hierarch blessed those present with the icons of the Nativity of Christ and handed them gifts.
