Military chaplains of the RCC to Ukrainian soldiers: We work to create a prayerful shield for you

"Dear Brothers and Sisters, Warriors of the Armed Forces of Ukraine!

Today, we bow our heads before the feat of your service in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We thank you for your deeds, for your courage and bravery in serving the Motherland and protecting us from the enemy.

Every day, we surround each of you with prayers because we deeply value your sacrifice and dedication to a cause that speaks of love for Ukraine. We bow before you as a sign of our respect and gratitude. We kneel, honoring the fallen soldiers who gave their lives on the battlefield, and we promise never to forget their names and faces. We pledge to take care of their children and loved ones.

We assure you that while you stand as a shield defending our freedom and independence, we are creating a prayer shield so that the Lord may protect you – sons and daughters of Ukraine – and safeguard your families in times of war.

Thank you, and we bless you in defense of our Homeland!

Together, we will withstand and repel the enemy's onslaught. God is with us!"
