His Beatitude Epifaniy said this in an interview with UKRINFORM, Novoye Vremya reports.
"As far as I know, now the Orthodox Church of Greece is moving quite intensively in the direction of recognition of our autocephaly. Everyone is waiting - who will be the first. And afterwards it will be easier," the Metropolitan said.
The first hierarch has added that the process of recognition of the autocephaly is being actively hindered by Russia.
"Moscow stands in the way. They make quite intensive efforts to influence the hierarchs of all local Orthodox Churches, to prove that this act on the part of the Ecumenical Patriarch is "non-canonical, invalid," said the Primate.
