OCU military chaplain addresses the royal family and Danish officials

On the occasion of the anniversary of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, on February 24, 2023, an official event was held in Copenhagen with the participation of the royal family: Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark, Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen, Speaker of the Parliament Soren Gele, members of the Danish government and parliament, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Kingdom of Denmark Mr. Mykhailo Vydoinyk, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps of European states and guests.

During his speech at the honorable assembly, the military chaplain of the 42nd Battalion of the Obolon Legion, priest Serhiy Berezhnoy, told how the Russians, having insidiously violated all the commandments of God, broke the lives of Ukrainians and their children, including Vlad, a refugee from occupied Melitopol.

The pastoral visit of the OCU chaplain to Denmark took place with the blessing of Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and All-Ukraine and with the support of the Ministry of church affairs of Denmark, the Embassy of Ukraine in the Kingdom of Denmark, the National Council of Churches of Denmark, the Lutheran Church of Denmark, the Association of Ukrainians of Denmark and the NGO "Bevar Ukraine".
