OCU Primate congratulates the new Head of the Serbian Orthodox Sister-Church

Metropolitan Epifaniy has extended his congratulations to the new Patriarch of Serbia on Facebook.

"Today, with the blessing of God and upon election by the Council of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Porfiry, Metropolitan of Zagreb-Ljubljana, became the 46th Archbishop of Pec, Metropolitan of Belgrade-Karlovac, Patriarch of Serbia.

I congratulate my brother, elected Patriarch Porfiry, on accepting his vocation to be the Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Sister-Church. I wish the heir to the throne of St. Sava, Patriarch Porfiry, many blessed years of service to his local church, the pious people and the fullness of Orthodoxy!" the message of the greetings reads.
