The Orthodox Church of Ukraine has no objections and supports vaccination against COVID-19.

This was said by the OCU Speaker Archbishop Yevstratiy (Zoria) during the forum on overcoming the coronavirus, Ukrainian News reports.

"The OCU has no objection to vaccination as a medical procedure from a religious point of view," he said.

According to him, at the same time, the Church condemns certain practices.

"But when we talk about vaccination, there are no Orthodox reservations. We can not and should not take responsibility for approving the quality and correctness of vaccination, "the archbishop added.

He also noted that vaccination should be voluntary and conscious without coercion.
