Orthodox Religious Procession Vladivostok-Kyiv Launched

To mark the 1025th anniversary of the Baptism of Rus', the International Religious Procession carrying parts of the relics of St. Prince Volodymyr began in Vladivostok, Russia, on May 30.

To mark the 1025th anniversary of the Baptism of Rus', the International Religious Procession carrying parts of the relics of St. Prince Volodymyr began in Vladivostok, Russia, on May 30.

According to a UNIAN report, the procession will be held on the territory of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus and will arrive in Kyiv on July 27.

“The procession will cover the territory of the whole historic Rus', from the far east to Uzhhorod and will end in Kyiv on Khreshtayk on July 27. The procession will be met by hierarchs of the local Orthodox churches. The official ceremony will be followed by a grand celebratory concert with the participation of famous and popular performers,” stated the organizers.
