Trump's personal spiritual advisor visits Bucha, Irpin and Borodianka
According to NV, this was announced by the Chief Rabbi of Ukraine, Moshe Reuven Azman, who invited the pastor.
According to the rabbi, Burns was shocked and outraged by what he saw in the cities of the Kyiv region that survived the Russian occupation. He personally heard the memories of witnesses, Azman said.
“I am sure that he will not keep these emotions and testimonies to himself. Pastor Burns is a man who has the ability to be heard in places where big decisions are made. And I believe that the voice of truth from Ukraine will be brought to the very heart of the new American leadership,” the Chief Rabbi of Ukraine wrote on Facebook.
Burns also took part in an interfaith religious forum that brought together representatives of religious denominations and communities working in Ukraine. He was told about Ukrainian believers serving their communities under fire and sirens, the rabbi added.
March 31, 2025, marked three years since Bucha in the Kyiv region was liberated from the Russian occupiers, and a few days later, the entire Kyiv region and northern Ukraine were liberated. The Russian military shot and tortured Ukrainians; during the occupation, 381 people died in Bucha, and about 1200 people died in the entire Bucha district.
