On February 14, 2010, Patriarch Lubomyr, the head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC), made a pastoral visit to the parish of Three Sanctifiers of the town Brovary near Kyiv. The visit took place on the occasion of the church’s feast, which is celebrated on February 12. So reported the Information Department of UGCC.

The Festive Liturgy was led by Fr. Ihor Onishkevych, proto-presbyter of Kyiv, in concelebration with Fr. Oleh Panchyniak, pastor of the parish, Fr. Oleh Oleksa, personal secretary of Patriarch Lubomyr, and Fr. Lubomyr Yavorskyi, referent of department of the Patriarchal Curia of the UGCC in matters of chaplaincy in the military structures of Ukraine.

In the sermon the head of the UGCC underlined three good acts which every Christian should honor, in particular, prayer, fast, and charity. He marked in particular: "With prayer we directly connect with the Lord, who for us is a source, prayer, happiness, gladness, and good. Through fasting we find in ourselves of what we are capable, and what needs work. Charity shows if we are able to love close ones, in the way which is required from Christians by Jesus Christ. Why in the world are there so many poor persons? Because the society has not opened for itself this great happiness, to know how to share with a neighbour who is in need.

After the completion of the Liturgy, Patriarch Lubomyr blessed the cornerstone of the future church. Thanking the patriarch for the visit Fr. Oleh Panchinyak, the abbot of parish, remarked in particular: "Thank You our patriarch for Your visit. For our parish and our city, it is a historic event. Wherever you are you always bring to the people words of love, support, and reconciliation. Thank You for uniting the people, without regard to the differences."

It should be noted that the city public authorities were present at the Liturgy
