Polish President paid tribute to Holodomor victims and lit a candle at the Cross of Heavenly Hundred Heroes

Polish President Andrzej Duda paid tribute to the victims of the Holodomor in Ukraine in 1932-1933 by placing a symbolic basket with wheat ears at the memorial.

The honoring ceremony was broadcast on Facebook by the Office of the President of the Republic of Poland.

Andrzej Duda also lit a candle in front of the Cross of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes. This is reported by Hromadske Radio.

As previously reported, on Monday, October 12, the political part of Duda's visit to Ukraine was to take place. In particular, he will meet with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Razumkov and Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
